SlayplayNOrosé for 2 weeks

Throughout this Coronavirus pandemic countless friends, family and coworkers have said "well, we can't do anything else so we drink.....my alcohol consumption has greatly increased." And inevitably they ask, "has yours? Or is it just me and my significant other?" It seems to me they want to know or justify that everyone is consuming a lot more booze at home these days. Wes & I fell right into that same routine for our date nights. We would cook or order in, and, of course, always made sure we had plenty of wine on hand.

We have always loved our date nights in, where we pick a new recipe to whip up, listening to music and drinking wine. Obviously, these nights have become more regular (twice a week-ish) and so has our wine consumption. Nights like these leave us the next day with slow mornings where we feel drained, dehydrated and not as productive as either of us would like.

Every so often, probably twice a year, we take a hiatus from alcohol. Early in 2020 we did dry January. We both slept better, got in better shape, were more productive in the mornings, our skin improved, and we ate less junk food late at night. It was a great way for Weston and I to reset for 2020!!!

Heading into week 6 of the 'Stay Home' ordinance by California's governor, I felt it was time to take another hiatus from alcohol. So, I pitched the idea of taking another break to Wes and he was in full support. It's always easier to tackle these when your best friend and boy friend is all on board! So much so he sent me the photo below of his refrigerator to stick in my mind for the next 2 weeks!!!! So, I will be slaying my workouts, playing with new restaurants that have carry out, but no rosé= slayplayNOrosé.....Well at least until May 10th!!
