Barcelona Boutique Hotel

Our whirlwind trip to Europe trip began when we touched down in Spain. On the flight from Los Angeles I could barely contain my excitement while thinking about exploring Barcelona. Everyone told me it was an amazing city. So picture this....me, someone who can't normally sit still, trying to contain my excitement on an 11 hour flight to Barcelona. Obviously I was a train wreck, and I kept the person next to me, who was trying to sleep his way across the Atlantic, awake. Once we landed the city nor where we were staying disappointed.
We stayed at the B-E-S-T hotel while in Barcelona! The Yurbban Trafalgar hotel is located in the Gothic District of Barcelona. And I highly recommend it. It is centrally located to just about everything. The staff couldn't have been more helpful providing us with restaurant suggestions (another blog post to follow on this topic), directions, and even offering to help with our laundry. Pro-tip: if you book directly through their website you have access to the 'newer' sister hotel's spa and pool for free (which is right next door). On the first floor, they also have a washer/dryer so you can leave town with a suitcase full of clean clothes.

We absolutely loved our room! Generally, I have experienced small, cramped and dark rooms when traveling in Europe. Yurbban Trafalgar's rooms were very spacious with a walk-in shower. Let's have some pillow talk.....No, no, I'm not talking about the intimate conversation you have with your significant other.....I'm talking about how the hotel has a "pillow menu", allowing you four different choices of pillows that they will bring up to your room, depending on your preference.
We were so excited every morning to go down for breakfast. The hotel's breakfast selection is far more expansive than your typical "European" breakfast. A full spread of meats and cheeses, eggs made to order, pan con tomato (traditional Catalonian food), fresh fruit, breads & croissants.

As part of your stay, the hotel provides you with a daily WiFi hotspot you can take with you while exploring Barcelona. This device helps with accessing google maps, researching restaurants, and booking tours on the fly. You never have to run into a cafe or store and ask for a WiFi password...Saving you so much time.

The Yurbban Trafalgar hotel's rooftop bar is rated as a "Top 5" in Barcelona. The rooftop bar has panoramic views of this amazing city....they also have free wine and sangria on tap from 5pm-7pm every night in the lobby area. Happy girl here!!! I am all about finding the best happy hour spots with a fan-freaking-tastic rooftop at home in Orange County.
